2026-2027 Welcome Letter

Dear Franklin Elementary Families,   

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year!  I am glad your student and family will be part of our school community.  We all work as one team from school to home, preparing students for success in college, career and life.

Please join us for our Back to School Night on Monday, August 17^th from 4:30-5:30 p.m.  This will be an opportunity to meet teachers, sign up for our schoolwide communication tool, and learn more about the school year.   

First Day of School Staggered Start Dates 

·       Kindergarten:  Wednesday, August 19

·       Grades 1^- 6:  Thursday, August 20  

·       Early Childhood:  Wednesday, August 26

Schedule

·       School hours are 8:50 a.m. – 4:05 p.m. 

·       School begins promptly at 8:50 a.m.  Students should not arrive to school before 8:30 a.m.   

·       Complimentary breakfast will be served from 8:35 a.m. until 8:50 a.m.   

·       Lunch is complimentary and each classroom will have a scheduled time.    

·       Dismissal is at 4:05 p.m.  Please provide instructions for your students regarding dismissal (e.g., daycare, walker, bus, or CLC).    

Supplies  

Students will be provided with all necessary school supplies for the school year.  It is not necessary to purchase any additional items. 

Medication  

If your child takes medication or uses an inhaler, please provide the school nurse with their medication along with written documentation from their physician.  Medication cannot be administered without medical authorization.  You may deliver items to the Health Office on Back to School Night. 

After School Care
